Ping G20 Irons
On the strength of tour players’ enthusiasm for the new G20 family and Anser Milled putters, PING introduces several new products that build on the company’s reputation for performance, innovation and fitting. The Ping G20 Irons is engineered for extreme forgiveness and predictable distance control. The Ping G20 Irons hit the ball long with forgiveness and distance control. Extreme perimeter weighting in the deep, multi-cavity design makes the 17-4 stainless steel heads highly forgiving.A multi-material cavity badge made with soft elastomer heel and toe sections improves feel and sound.
Ping G20 Irons features a new Custom Tuning Port which expands perimeter weighting and increases MOI. The thinner face of the g20 Iron helps position weight to the toe for added forgiveness. The wider sole provides a higher launch angle. Strong lofts and a low center of gravity produce long shots with a high trajectory and maximum forgiveness. The G20 iron set is very similar to the G15's, with a slightly wider sole. The cavity of these irons features a very similar look to the G15's but with a new soft layer on the back to help with sound, feel and vibrations. The steel shafts also look new, with more evenly spaced steps than the traditional AWT shafts, with a unique and interesting feel.
Combined with PING’s new CFS steel shaft, the G20 optimizes feel and trajectories. The hosel-to-head transition and clean appearance of the G20's inspire confidence at address that the ball will launch clean and easy from any lie on the course. Consistent yardage gapping is a key benefit of the G20 set, which includes high-launching long irons that maximize the overall range and predictability of a player's set.
Features of Ping G20 Irons
• The cavity’s floating CTP structure stabilises a thin face to generate fast ball speeds and distance with control.
• Combined with PING’s new CFS (Control, Feel, Stability) steel shaft, the G20 optimises feel, trajectories and distance gaps for more consistency.
• Consistent yardage gapping is a key benefit of the G20 set, which includes high-launching long irons that maximize the overall range and predictability of a player's set.
